I'm trying to move a complex application from D7 to D2010. It requires text-to-speech capabilities using the mSpeech and Speech units for SAPI4 and the SAPI5 components contained in SAPI5.ZIP. The application 'sort of' works in D2010, but, for instance, the SAPI4 can't say the whole string - it just says the first letter of the string and in SAPI5 the whole string is said, but the voice cannot be changed.
Has anyone updated these units to work with D2010? If not, is there anyone specializing in such fixes? The code is more complex than I can 'fix' myself, so I'm stuck at D7 unless I can find a way around this.
An alternative would be a component or wrapper code that allows use of SAPI 4/5 text-to-speech capabilities (recognition is not required) that replaces those I'm using that IS D2010 compatible.
